Steps for facial hygiene

We want you to stay radiant, that's why we have for you this step by step to keep your skin clean that you can do at home. It is important to note that facial hygiene is NOT the same as deep facial cleansing.

A facial cleansing is a more in-depth procedure carried out by a professional beautician, where the facial skin is cleansed of dirt and dust. In addition, with appropriate methods, a safe extraction of blackheads and pimples is carried out. Finally, different products and masks are applied to nourish your skin. This lasts approximately one and a half to two hours, and it is recommended to do at least a deep facial cleansing once a year.

On the other hand, the facial hygiene that we will explain to you below aims to keep your skin clean and lasts approximately thirty minutes.

1. We remove makeup

As a first step, we remove makeup and remove traces of powder with micellar water. In the supermarket you can find many makeup removers to perform this step but keep in mind to choose the most natural and chemical-free option for the good of your skin.

2. We clean

After removing the remains of makeup, we proceed to clean more deeply with a soap suitable for your skin. Remember to take your skin type into account when choosing the right soap for you, there are specific brands for oily, dry or combination skin and with specific ingredients that may be more flattering for you.

3. We exfoliate

Why is it important to exfoliate? In youth, skin cells regenerate every 28 days and as you age this process becomes slower, therefore, dead skin cells are more likely to accumulate over the years. With the exfoliation process, you help remove dead skin cells and keep your skin hydrated. There are many ingredients to make homemade scrubs that can be very useful, such as blackberry seeds with honey, and you can also find excellent prepared scrubs.

4. Mask

Throughout the process it is essential to know your skin type. For example, if your skin is oily, a mud mask may be ideal for you. Meanwhile, if you have drier skin you can use a mask based on honey and many more natural products. The purpose of the mask is to nourish your skin according to its needs, whether to reduce pimples or to hydrate it. Apply evenly and let it sit for the time indicated by the product specifications.

5. Tone

The toner is essential to close the pores of the skin that has been subjected to the entire cleaning process, it serves to hydrate your face and balance the PH due to all the products previously applied. The tonic is applied with a cotton ball and tapping the skin to activate blood flow.

6. Eye cream or nourishing

To finish, we apply a nourishing cream for daily use to our skin. Optionally, we recommend using a specific cream to care for the eye area that will help reduce dark circles, expression lines and bags under the eyes.

7. Sunscreen

Last but not least. Never forget sunscreen to protect your skin from prolonged exposure to the sun's rays and prevent spots on your face. Keep in mind to choose a sunscreen that protects from both long-wave rays (UVA) and short-wave rays (UVB).
